We build the softwareEuropean companies run on.

Web platforms, mobile apps, the backends behind them and the cloud infrastructure underneath, for clients in Austria, Germany and Switzerland. We still run and maintain most of what we have built, some of it since 2019.

What we do

A short list, deliberately. Everything on it is work we have running for a client right now.

  • 01

    Product engineering

The whole product: architecture, backend, interface and the release pipeline that keeps it shipping. Web first, mobile when the product needs it.

    • Greenfield & legacy builds
    • Web and mobile, stores included
    • Long-term ownership
  • 02

    Backends, APIs & integrations

.NET services that stay maintainable once they are under load, plus the middleware that ties together the platforms you do not control.

    • .NET 8 & ASP.NET
    • Background jobs & scheduled tasks
    • Shopify · Stripe · Microsoft 365
  • 03

    Multi-tenant SaaS

Platforms that serve many customers from one system: tenant isolation, identity, licensing and per-tenant configuration.

    • Schema-per-tenant design
    • OpenID Connect identity
    • Licence tiers & feature gates
  • 04

    Identity & access

Authentication that has to fit around what is already there: modernising legacy identity servers, adding SSO and retrofitting standards-based login into products that grew up without it.

    • IdentityServer4 to Duende migrations
    • OpenIddict & OpenID Connect
    • SSO for existing products
  • 05

    Cloud & infrastructure

The layer the product sits on: infrastructure as code, migrations between servers and providers, hardening and the pipelines that keep production uneventful.

    • Terraform & Bicep
    • Azure · Cloudflare · Swiss PaaS
    • Migrations & hardening
  • 06

    AI features & agents

AI that ships inside a product people pay for: assistants, copilots and agent integrations, with the guardrails, metering and review process that production demands.

    • Copilots in existing products
    • MCP & ChatGPT apps
    • Guarded rollouts & usage metering
  • 07

    Extended team & coaching

Senior engineers working inside your team, your backlog and your review process, under your brand when the project calls for that. Your own developers should come out of it stronger, so our reviews explain the reasoning behind every change we ask for.

    • Your tooling and rituals
    • Mentoring & code review
    • German or English

02Selected work

Things we have shipped

Most of what we build ships under someone else’s brand. Where we are not free to name the client, we describe the work.

  1. Infrastructure migrations & hardening

    Consulting · Switzerland

For several Swiss clients we work purely as consultants: planning and running infrastructure moves, server to server and platform to platform, hardening whatever stays in place, and writing it all down before we hand it over.

  2. Fleet & rental platform

    Multi-tenant SaaS

    2023 - present

One system covering a vehicle business end to end: purchase, rental, resale and the service workshop all working off the same inventory, with each customer isolated in their own database schema.

  3. Retail loyalty middleware

Commerce integration & consulting · Austria

    2025

A middleware service connecting a consumer brand’s online store to its loyalty programme: single-use codes printed on the packaging are redeemed and credited to the customer’s account. We also advised on the parts we did not build ourselves: we picked the agency for the storefront work and kept both teams in step through to launch.

  4. Talent-matching platform

Team & architecture consulting · Switzerland

    2023

A candidate-sourcing service for recruiters. The client’s own team built this one; we advised them on how to approach the implementation and set up their development workflow so they could.

03Approach

How we work

What clients actually notice after the first month.

  • You talk to the engineers

No account manager between you and the people writing the code. Whoever built a feature is the one who demos it, and the one who fixes it when it breaks.

  • German or English, no translation layer

Projects run in whichever language your team already works in, with nobody in the middle restating the requirements. The gap between what was asked for and what was understood is where offshore usually gives its savings back.

  • We stay

We shipped the first version of several platforms we still run today. Knowing you will be the one maintaining something changes how you build it.

  • Production is the finish line

Store review, migrations, tenant rollouts, handover documentation. A feature is not done when it merges. It is done when it is running for your users.

04About

Senior team, long engagements

3VD was registered in Prishtina in January 2022, but the work is older than the company: our founder has worked for our longest-standing client since 2019 and brought that relationship along. Since then we have shipped consumer apps that are live in both stores, multi-tenant SaaS platforms serving business customers across Austria, Germany and Switzerland, and the integrations and cloud infrastructure holding those systems together.

Not all of it is building from scratch. For several Swiss clients we advise rather than build, planning and running infrastructure migrations and hardening what stays. For established software vendors we work as an extended engineering team, inside their process and under their brand: through them our work has ended up in public-sector education programmes, a science centre and industrial groups.

We are five people today and we are building the team out as the work grows. At this size every project has someone who knows it from architecture to production, and we intend to keep that true as we grow.

05FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Do you work in German?

Yes. Our founder was born and raised in Austria, so German here is a native language, not a sales promise. Run your project in German or English, whichever your team prefers.

Where are you based, and in which time zone do you work?

We work from Prishtina, Kosovo, in the same time zone as Vienna, Berlin and Zurich. Your morning is our morning: no offset, no overnight handovers. And when a kickoff or workshop needs a room instead of a call, we fly in; Prishtina is a short flight from Vienna or Zurich.

Can you take over a system another team built?

Yes, and we treat it as proper work, not a consolation prize. Much of our time is spent inside established codebases as an extended team, and our consulting work is largely about migrating and hardening infrastructure that was there before us. The default is to understand and stabilise what exists, not to sell a rewrite.

How do engagements work?

In one of three shapes. Product engagements: we design, build and run the whole thing. Extended team: our senior engineers work inside your process, your backlog and, where the project calls for it, under your brand. Consulting: mostly infrastructure, from migrations to hardening. Most engagements run long; we still operate most of what we have built.

What does a project cost?

We bill time and materials at senior rates, around 70 EUR per hour. There is no minimum: a two-day fix is as welcome as a multi-year platform. A first conversation and a rough estimate cost nothing.

Why are there no client names on this site?

On purpose. Part of our work ships under our clients’ own brands, and the rest belongs to companies that did not hire us to be their marketing. So we describe the work precisely and leave the logos out: the end customers behind our projects include a public-safety control centre, an energy company and public-sector education programmes. In a direct conversation we can be more specific than we print.

Who owns what you build?

You do. Code, infrastructure definitions and the accounts everything runs in are yours. We keep our access exactly as long as you want us to.
